When we started looking seriously at period underwear, we expected the hard part to be the design. It turned out to be the standards. So much of the category is built down to a price, and you can feel it, in the materials against your skin and in the way the seams give out. We wanted something we would genuinely want to wear. So we made a different set of choices.
Choosing better for yourself starts with the fabric
The layer closest to your body all day should be the one you think about most, not least. We chose natural, breathable fabrics, lyocell and cotton, instead of the synthetic blends that dominate the category. They are soft, they breathe, and they stay gentle through a full day of wear. Comfort is not a feature here; it is the whole point.
The seams are where quality shows
Most period underwear is held together with glue or fused, bonded seams. It is fast and cheap to make, but those seams can stiffen, break down and come apart over time, exactly the kind of failure you least want in this category. We chose triple-stitched construction instead: sewn, reinforced, and built to hold up to repeated washing and wearing. It is the difference between something assembled and something made.
Made in Europe, to a European standard
Our period briefs are made in Portugal, a heritage textile region with rigorous manufacturing practices, the same supply chain behind everything else we make. That is what European-made means to us: better materials, better construction, and a garment designed to be kept rather than replaced.
